As if acne isn’t bad enough, it often leaves discoloration of the skin. This is referred to as hyperpigmentation. Hyperpigmentation can occur from sun exposure, hormonal influences, age, skin injuries (acne), and/or inflammation.

Now onto what to do topically for hyperpigmentation.
The most important thing is that you don’t start treating hyperpigmentation BEFORE your acne is gone.
Why?
Because hyperpigmentation products and acne clearing products are different. You want to use hyperpigmentation products after your skin is clear, or almost clear. You can apply the product around active breakouts if you only have a few!
